BALTOPS / SABRE STRIKE JOINT PATCH RAF FAIRFORD
This patch was designed for the 2014 BALTOPS and SABRE STRIKE Exercises the 20TH, 23RD, 96TH & 343RD Bomb Squadrons for their planned participation in both exercises. Due to circumstances in the region, the aircraft were present but did not participate in the actual exercises. During the time period of the exercise, it was conveyed to me that the presence of this patch on the "internet" was an OPSEC breech and the reason the B-52 did not participate. Ultimately, that was not the reason, but it makes a good story. The crews did wear the patch until ordered to remove it, only after some had been interviewed by the media and pictures were taken showing the patch.
This patch is only available here and at the BomberPatches website. I am the designer and producer of this patch. The patch is 100% embroidered, 4.0" diameter, merrowed border, Velcro sewn to back.
