D-DAY 70th Anniv Fly By Crew Patch, RAF FAIRFORD
This patch was designed for the B-52 crew that flew the commemorative low pass over Omaha Beach on May 7, 2014, the day after the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day Landing at Normandy. This is in conjunction with the exercises associated with the BALTOPS/Sabre Strike patch, available in a separate listing. This is patch was made for the crew of the B-52 that flew, but more importantly, to honor the 70th Anniversary of the day that changed the direction of World War II.
